Mommy’s Working now
The idea was to create an online platform to connect parents working from the home office with unemployed teachers looking for a side hustle. Educators post tutoring offers online, parents buy classes for their children and this way get more time to do their work. Mommy’s working now does more than just help parents in their daily duties. It is also a response to growing unemployment and help for the children who, due to the way their classes changed, have trouble at school.
Helpful Neighbor
This app wanted to connect people who need help with their daily activities with their neighbors. Some people are finding it hard to do their shopping, visit the pharmacy or take care of their pet during the quarantine. Volunteers and people in need may register in the app, which then connects them and, most importantly, integrates the local community.
SMS Shopping for a Senior
This project was meant to solve the problems of those people who do not use social media. Social networks are the place where most groups wishing to help retired people or the disabled get organized. But those people are not always on Facebook. SMS Shopping for a Senior is a quick and direct way to connect people willing to help with those that need help with their shopping, filling prescriptions or walking their dog.
People-there.info
Developers from Kraków have created an application that helps with shopping during the pandemic. How does it work? Users inform each other about the number of people waiting in a linea. Only location data is collected from the device. The number of people present at the store is reported based on this. This feature ensures that you can’t report a line from a different place than where the device is located. People-there.info is available for free and is not-for-profit.
